Race2Rebuild creates tangible change to our communities following natural disasters by supporting and participating in rebuilding projects and bringing families home. Founded in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, Race2Rebuild’s national team of volunteer athletes raise critical private funds and provide hands-on home building to support projects across the country. Race2Rebuild serves as an important frontline advocate to its national rebuilding partners and an essential link to the families whose homes it helps to rebuild. We believe in safe, strong, healthy communities for all.

We are athletes and volunteers resolved to rebuild communities, homes and lives through racing.

In our first season, athletes raced two races to Race2Rebuild two homes for two families. Following each race, athletes had the opportunity to volunteer with Rebuilding Together to rebuild their homes. Click here to learn more about our first season.

In our second year, Race2Rebuild raced three major races, offered athletes a “Pick Your Own Race” or PYOR option and launched our own series, RUN, RIDE, REBUILD. Additionally, we partnered with Spartan Race and TriRock Asbury Park to race to bring families home. The 2014 races were coordinated with Rebuilding Together to again create a personal, ongoing and lasting connection with each family. Click here to learn more about our second season.

In our third season, we proudly announced our new R2R Ambassador Team of pro and elite athletes and our 2015 races, including our RUN, RIDE, REBUILD series. In partnership with St. Bernard Project and Rebuilding Together, our athletes and volunteers supported communities recovering from disaster in New York, New Jersey, New Orleans, Cabo San Lucas and Nepal.

As we race into our fourth season, we’ve partnered up with the IRONMAN Foundation, Rebuilding Together, St. Bernard Project, UMCOR, A Future With Hope, Team Rubicon and Team RWB to help us double the number of families we serve and widen the scope of our projects to rebuild from disasters across the country, like Hurricane Katrina, the South Carolina, Texas and Detroit floods and wherever the next disaster may strike. Join the R2R Team for one of our 2016 events, donate and volunteer. You can also Pick Your Own Race and support our disaster recovery programs for the race of your choice or even your entire season. Every dollar, every mile helps create tangible change in communities recovering from disaster.

We Race2Rebuild safe, strong, healthy homes and communities for all.

Race2Rebuild is powered by a 100% volunteer team of athletes, skilled professionals, sponsors, partners and board of directors. By keeping our operating costs at the very minimum, we maximize the funds raised for each family we race to serve. Click here to get involved.
